A Statement Of Faith

The Holy Bible (King James Version) is the inerrant word of God and is therefore the TRUTH {Prov 30:5-6}. Anything that is not in agreement with the word of God is wrong. Scripture is the final authority in all things {2Tim 3:16}.

There is but one God {Mk 12:32} which has three distinct personalities {1Jn 5:7}.

God created all things {Jn 1:1-3, Gen 1:1-31}.

Sin and death were brought into the world by man {Gen 3:1-24}.

Every living thing on the Earth, except those upon the ark were destroyed by a flood that God sent that covered the entire surface of the Earth {Gen 8:11-24}.

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh {Jn 1:1, 14}.

God sent his only Son to save us from our sins {Mt 1:18-25, 2:1-12 Lk 1:26-35, 2:1-22}.

Jesus was crucified on a cross at Calvary to pay the price for our sins {Mt 27:32-61, Mk 15:21-47, Lk 23:26-56, Jn 19:17-42}.

Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven {Mt 28:1-20, Mk 16:1-20, Lk 24:1-53, Jn 20:1-30, 21:1-25}.

Salvation comes only through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior {Jn 3:16-18}. There is no other way {Jn 14:6}.

Christ is the Head of the church; we are the body {Eph 1:17-23}.  Everything the church does must be in alignment with Christ. (The head controls the body).

Jesus Christ is soon returning to bring his people home {1Th 4:13-18}. 

Those who are martyred for the cause of Christ and those who did not worship the beast or his image and did not take his mark will reign with Christ on the earth for a thousand years. And Satan will be held in the bottomless pit {Rev 20:1-6}.

Satan will return to the earth and gather his forces against God and the saints. God will destroy them and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire {Rev 20:7-10}.

All will be judged by Christ {Rev 20:11-15}.

God will create a new Heaven and new Earth for those who are saved and will live among them for eternity, but those that do not except Christ shall burn forever in the lake of fire {Rev 21:1-8}.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

I'm a Christian. REALLY?

The biggest problem with Christians today is that they are seen as hypocrites that judge other people by their own standards. The real cause behind this is that a huge amount of people that say they are Christians or believe that they are; are not. So what is a Christian? By definition a Christian is a follower of Christ, but what does that mean exactly? There are a lot of people who go to church on Sundays and think that that makes them a Christian. It does not. Going to church makes you as Christian as going to a ball park makes you a baseball player. People say "well I'm a good person", but by whose standards? Yours or God's ? Isaiah 64:6a Says "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are filthy rags;". Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;". Have you ever broken one of the ten commandments? Have you ever lied, stole something, lusted after a person ? Everyone has broken at least a few commandments. You say "well yeah, but I'm not a murderer!". James 2:10-11 says "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, said also DO NOT KILL. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.". So it doesn't matter which commandment you break. If you break one you break them all. Being a quote"good person" will not get you to Heaven, and if you're not going to Heaven you are not saved, therefore you are not a Christian. Many people say "well God loves everybody so He wouldn't send anyone to Hell!". Did you read any of the first part of this? All fall short of the glory of God! The answer is "well, I believe there's a God!". James 2:19 says "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.". Just believing God exists isn't enough! John 3:16-18 says, and by the way this is Jesus speaking "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.". You see in order to be a Christian you have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour. There is no other way. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." So just believing God exists isn't enough, being good isn't enough, being religious isn't enough! God hates Religion! Religion is a bunch of rules people follow to try and reach God, but there is no way for a human to reach God! That's why God reached out to us Through His Son! And if you truly have accepted Christ as your saviour you will do your best to live by his rules. To love one another as yourselves, do not judge or you will be judged (by God). Spread the gospel to all nations. Not sit comfortably in your denomination and fight with the others! If you are reading this and think I'm narrow minded, you'd better check the scriptures. This is God's opinion not mine! And if you don't think the Bible is the inerrant word of God then you are not a Christian. Because if the Word of God is not the truth then there is no way to be saved!

That's not Christian music!

My wife is upset with me becuase she thinks I listen to to much secular music. I grew up with rock n roll, my dad was in many bands. It is part of who I am. I do not listen to music that has lyrics about drugs and sex and killing people or anything that is blasphamous of God; having said that I am not here to justify my opinion, only to expond on it. Many rock bands are into drugs and adultry as well as many other sins I'm sure, but in the genre of Christian music this has also been seen. Christian bands have broke up due to embezling, extra-marital affairs and even drug use. Some sing praise only for the money. Is it better to listen to a hypocrite than to a sinner how is being truthful? And if as Christains we should only listen to Christian music, should we not also only watch Christian movies, and Christian TV? why is it everybody worries about what you listen to, but not what you see? Do not visual images leave a longer lasting impression? In this case all of us will have to throw out 99.9% of our movie collections. It doesn't matter if it is rated "G" it's not Christian! I have found that most quote "Christian" movies are not Biblicaly accurate. So again should we settle for half-hearted Christiandom? I am not bashing my wife. I am very appreciative of her concern, but I feel that music is like movies, one has to be careful what you allow yourself to be exposed to, but just because it is or is not Quote "Christian" is not a bases of judgement. Christian artists do secular songs. Does this automatically make that a Christian song now? If you hear it on the radio how do you know if the band is Christian or not? A lot of quote "non-Christian artist do record hyms, Christmas songs and alike. Does this fact nullify the premiss of the song? Let's take a moment and reflect. I am not making lite of this. there are many songs and movies that purposely demean and insult God. I do not want to see these things nor do I want my children exposed to it, but to say it is not Christian therefore it is bad is an unfair judgement. Not all things Christian are good. For Christ said "Why do you call me good? There is only one who is good My father in Heaven." Christians are only people who believe in Jesus Christ. We are not perfect nor are we to judge others for we will be judged. We are however to make judgements based on Biblical not Quote "Christian" standards. Biblical sandards are handed down by God and the Propets through His Word. Personal opinion is irrelavant!, but in cases where the Bible does not say specifically what to or not to do we must pray and rely on the Holy spirit to guide us. If something is inherently evil the spirit will guide us away from it. I could go on and on. The point being we must trust God in all decisions we make wether it be music, video or life and our spouses need to recognize that even if they don't agree with us they must respect the fact that decisions are being made by faith and respect those decsions. If you are in fact a Christian God has final authority on all things! I have given up many things in my life because I was lead by the spirit to do so. It is my wife's responsibility to keep me accountable for my actions and I love her and appreciate her concern, but unless Iam listening to vulgar or blaspamous songs I ask her to trust my judgement.

I don't know what I'm doing; my wife talked me into this. At some point in time I will Blog something that makes sense. Rock on!
